Thermal processing (torrefaction, pyrolysis, and gasification), as a technology can provide environmentally friendly use of plastic waste. However, it faces problem with respect to its by-products. Pyrolysis oil obtained using this is seen substance that extremely harmful for living creatures needs be neutralized. Due relatively high calorific value, considered potential fuel internal combustion spark-ignition engines. In order make the process effective, pyrolysis blended ethanol, which commonly used flexible cars. This article presents results from tests conducted on single-cylinder research engine at full load working 600 rpm compression ratio 9.5:1, an equivalence 1. The analysis showed improvements in performance. It was found that, due higher value blend, possessed indicated mean effective pressure. also optimal spark timing ethanol-pyrolysis blend improved crank angle 2–3° rpm. summary, blends volumetric 3:1 (25% oil) successfully substitute ethanol engines, particularly vehicles type.
